The Recon edition is based on the Wrangler Rubicon and features unique exterior and interior content.  “We are excited to bring the Wrangler Rubicon Recon model back to the Jeep lineup as it represents the ultimate combination of Rubicon off-road 4x4 capability with a unique appearance package that will resonate with our most diehard off-road enthusiasts,” said Jim Morrison, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA North America. “With the return of the Wrangler Rubicon Recon, we’re bolstering the wide appeal Jeep Wrangler already offers by expanding our legendary Rubicon lineup.” The 2020 Jeep Wrangler lineup sees the return of the popular Rubicon Recon edition and marks the first time it is available on the newest generation Jeep Wrangler (JL). Inside the cabin, Rubicon Recon models feature a Jeep trail bag, red seat belts and PUR-wrapped mid bolsters featuring red accent stitching. Exterior features for the Wrangler Rubicon Recon model include heavy-duty rock rails, body-colour fenders, LED headlights and taillights, gloss black grille with body-colour surrounds, Recon fender badge, matte black fender vent decal, new 17-inch aluminum wheels with a black finish, a matte black hood stripe decal with red tracer, front and rear steel bumpers with bumper loops, as well as Rubicon grey grille throats and headlamp inserts. All Wrangler Rubicon Recon models feature next-generation Dana front and rear heavy-duty axles, enhanced off-road rock rails and the Rock-Trac NV241 two-speed transfer case with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio.
