November 30, 2016 , Windsor, Ontario -  A trio of FCA Canada vehicles have been named The Car Guide / Le Guide de L'Auto Best Buys for 2017.

The made-in-Canada 2017 Chrysler Pacifica was named Best Buy for Minivans, only the latest in a string of recent awards for this all-new, game-changing family  vehicle, which have included an AutoTRADER.ca Top Pick, a 2017 Consumer Guide® Automotive Best Buys, a Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com 2017 Best Buy Award and a NHTSA Five-Star Overall Safety Rating. What’s more, The Car Guide / Le Guide de L'Auto also listed Chrysler Pacifica as a runner-up for Best New SUV of the Year.

Built at the award-winning Brampton Assembly Plant (BAP), the 2017 Dodge Charger was named the Best Buy for Full-Size Sedan, with the 2017 Chrysler 300 – also made at BAP – a top-three finalist in the same category.

The 2017 Ram 1500 – offering the segment’s only EcoDiesel V-6 engine – was named the Best Buy for Full-Size Pick-up Trucks, amongst all-new or refreshed rivals.

The editors of the well-respected, long-running, Quebec-based publication scrutinized and compared new models head-to-head in 28 vehicle categories, with fuel economy, reliability, safety, infotainment, driving experience and an overall score weighed, before selecting the top three vehicles for each.

“Expert, third-party recognition for this diverse trio of FCA products, especially from a publication with the history of The Car Guide / Le Guide de L'Auto, is particularly valuable,” said William Levasseur, VP of Marketing, FCA Canada. “Not only does it validate the quality and features built into vehicles across our lineup, but it also helps Canadians considering their next new vehicle.”

The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider was also named runner-up in the Convertibles and Roadsters Under $50,000 category.
